I know the event was more than one day ago, but I haven't had a chance to give an update.
It was a small but fun event. The attendees ranged from a 60 year old neuroscientist to a four year old kid and, well, my wife and I in between.
Projects:
- The kid wanted to make a star, so I cut a bunch of triangles out of some scrap wood and he set to work developing all sorts of things. He also wanted to make a robot, but we are still brainstorming that idea.
- The other guy was trying to think of ways to help his ailing mother with her daily life. Although we came up with some ideas, they weren't really so technological.
- I was thinking of ways to improve education and student life at the school where I work. I started working on one idea and it is almost complete, though it is hardly Hackaday Prize worthy.
Anyway, it was a day. In the future I hope to organize something with vastly more planning time and attendance.
