Come learn to design a PCB using the popular WiFi connected chip ESP8266.
This workshop will be taught by Matt Berggren [@technolomaniac] and will get you started with PCB design, parts needed and some electronic theory.
Matt teaches this workshop in smaller locations around the world and the wait list is long. Come take it where we have space for many more people. Matt says:
"do not feel like you need any high level math or engineering background to be successful here. This'll be mostly back of the envelope. If you can bring it up on a dev board, you're at the right level to join. If you know more, awesome. We'll cover some of the pitfalls even solid hackers make leaping into professional-caliber designs and also the things organizations get wrong designing circuits as a part of a team. "

Saturday day - PCB Design Workshop
This Zero to Product workshop takes you thru Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, to some basic manufacturing techniques. If you have little-to-no knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), soldering, testing, etc; this will be great for you.
Using Eagle you will build a schematic, layout a board, generate CAM files, mill PCBs using an Othermill and more!
Sorry, this is not an online event. It is in-person, in San Francisco.
