If you've been wanting to get into digital modes or packet radio but did not have a way to connect your PC to your radio, here is an easy way to build that interface by Tom VK7NTK. It's for a cheap Baofeng radio but could be adapted to many other radios that do not have something built in like CAT control or a USB sound card.

Hi, I came across this in a lab for a DSP course from Berkeley (https://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~ee123/sp16/labs.html). I got all my parts. But I had trouble to understand how to use USB-to-Serial (FTDI) to control PPT ( See my google drive link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m5GjlY-YVEAKmsQHQD2w6aijgQtByBsx/view?usp=sharing). I wonder if you have get this done. Thanks!
