The BME280 is a digital humidity, pressure, and temperature sensor that is based on well-established sensing principles. The sensor module is housed in a metal-lid LGA package with a footprint of 2.5 2.5 mm2 and a height of 0.93 mm. Because of its small size and low power consumption, it can be used in battery-powered devices such as handsets, GPS modules, and watches. The BME280 digital pressure sensor is register and performance compatible with the Bosch Sensortec BMP280 digital pressure sensor.
