Read up to Chapter 7 of Mike Meyer's Net+ (N10-008) book. Reviewed up to halfway through Chapter 4. Stuck trying to wrap my head around STP lol

Ok. I got it. I couldn't figure out why STP needed to block every layer 3 packet, and not just broadcast packets. The point of STP is to prevent duplicate packets period, not just preventing broadcast storms.
