Hi I am working on a kind of working art piece. Its a computer on the wall. I'm looking for any information where I can rig up independent activity lighting for each of my m.2 storage devices. I want to light the back of these chips with independent activity lightning. For show and for knowing which device is being read/written to.
As far as I know, there is only the motherboard's HDD pinouts for any storage activity, but I am actually looking to get independent activity from the m.2.
I know they have USB adapters with activity lights, but is there a way to get light activity somehow while the m.2 is in the slot without software or add-in cards?
I'm thinking maybe some engineers might be able to get me started on where I should start.
