Description

Using two Arduinos two leds and two photo-diodes I aim to make a lifi transceiver.
The goal of this project would be to send an image from one computer to another.

Details

GOALS:

One way communication.
Two way communication.
Two way image transfer.
Two way communication with a repeater for increased distance.
Data encryption.

A crude schematic is shown below.

Components

2 × Arduino UNO prefferably
2 × LED Fiber Optics / Emitters
2 × Photodiode Haven't decided yet whether PIN or avalanche type
2 × Breadboard Electronic Components / Misc. Electronic Components

This reminds me of a project I have done a while ago with a friend. Instead of LEDs we used laser diodes, this way you get a stronger signal from the photo diode. Since they are quite cheap, it's maybe worth a try for you.
