Got the basic machine pretty well wrapped up. Door is on, safety switch installed, collector plate done. Now it's on to the high voltage supply, and hopefully a working machine with few spitten-sparkens. Power supply parts came last Friday, just in time I might add, to keep moving forward. Regardless of how the contest goes, I'll be staying on this project until I get the success I know it can produce.
I'm actually pretty happy with the way it's gone so far. I DO need to practice on my acrylic bending skills, I'm finding out. Small pieces, no problem. Large ones, well, not so much... I have a piece in the works to go two thirds of the way around this thing, but it needs some more work to fit, so that's something I'll be playing with. I HATE getting it real close to fitting, and cracking it. Already did that once on this, so I'm hoping I do better this next attempt.
