Thanks Yann :-) The current is still very high at 400 ma but just using enough coil turns to make it work. Needs more turns to bring that current down to something practical ;-) Also finer wire would be better as this is 28ga. Diode is in there.

What's the coil current ? Do you have a freewheel diode ?
