Power Monitor V2
06/09/2014 at 14:01 • 0 commentsThis board is intended to lower the cost of getting the arduino connected to the internet. I will upload the board drawing to my github after I have fully tested it and corrected my mistakes. The foot print for the arduino is a standard pro mini, but as you can see you can also connect the cheap chinese versions. The components are connected to the Analog and Digital pins with jumpers so that the jumpers can be removed and free up the pins.
Additionally this is a board from Dirty Boards which hackaday.com featured a little while ago. The results are exactly as advertised. The boards are cheap, but seem to be well constructed, the silk screen isn't the best, but it was cheap and works.
(The sd card holder was salvaged from my april board as you can see some of my parts lead a hard life. I am waiting for sparkfun to get more in stock.)

Breaker Board
05/20/2014 at 12:36 • 0 commentsPotential circuit board to read AC mains voltage. F1 - 1/8A Pico-Fuse, R1 - 1M, R2 - 1k, U1 - AD629.
I think that it would work to remove the bimetal in a breaker and replace it with this board. It would no longer be a breaker, but rather a switch with a really strong spring. Does anyone have any insight into this type of circuit?
