Limit switches and fitment of linear rail
05/10/2016 at 12:07 • 0 commentsBefore fitting the linear rail i want to pass some wires up the middle of the vertical extrusions for my 3 endstops, I used the pillar drill to put some holes in the extrusions just above where the bottom corner brackets will come to.
The wires can then pass through the holes loop over the top and be connected to my limit switches.
The linear rail was then bolted to the verticals using some 8mm M3 cap screws and t-nuts.

Test fit - Corner brackets
05/10/2016 at 11:56 • 0 commentsAll the extrusion arrived really well cut, nice clean cuts with a good accuracy. motedis.co.uk is the place to go for resonably priced extrusion cut to length in the UK.
Base placed together to check fitment.
Motors are mounted with some m3 10mm cap screws with some rubberised ESD mat in between the corners and the motors. I hope to dampen motor vibrations, this should do the same job as the laser cut cork bits you can buy on ebay.
