My original plan was to only print the plane, hang it on the ceiling and feel good while staring at it. RC equipment is costly.
I helped my friend Ben out with his university project by printing parts for me. He had a glider he crashed.. but the RC gear was all still intact. He's seen the plane and wants to return the favor. I think you can see where this is going :-)
Eyecandy below!!

Getting there! Each wing section in the picture there takes about 8 hours to print, and the body parts vary from 3 - 8 hours each. I'm printing each part carefully one by one very slow for best results.
As usual, more updates to come!!
(in between studying of course, so updates may spaced out over time and far in between)
One roll of Diamond PLA and a generous sample of banana yellow from diamondage.co.nz later, I can start printing

I plan to print it in transparent plastic with yellow control surfaces. When the filament arrives in the mail I will start printing. I may or may not buy RC gear to put in it as it can be pricey. More updates to follow!
