My son, who loves to bake, gets discouraged because his cookies, which he means to share with the whole family over the course of several days, tend to disappear overnight. Nobody admits to sneaking them, so he has decided to regulate and automate the process of dispensing his baked treats. Desserts will be packed into individual portions in special 3D printed boxes and placed inside the dispenser. The automated dessert dispenser will be controlled by a Raspberry Pi, and require fingerprint verification (or possibly use facial recognition) before the desserts are dispensed.
Design for the laser cut parts for the dispenser have been finalized. I'm waiting for some of the mechanical parts I've ordered to arrive before finalizing the design for the 3D printed parts.
The dispenser is engineered so that no-one can remove a dessert box manually - only the motorized slider will release it. Still trying to decide if it is hack-proof, or if we need a second level of security, like a mechanically locking door in front.
