I didn't like most of the existing fan and pump controlers, and don't want to buy the ones I like, so instead I am going to attempt to make my own. The goal is to have the zero contouring the fan and pump speeds, have speeds and temps shown and logged on a small screen and a web page, and eventually have text alerts for high temps. I also eventually want the pi to get temperature readings from the motherboard, and setting it up as a led controller would be cool.
So far this project exists as a brainstorm. I have a couple pwm splitters on the way to link all my fans together and I have a zero. I need to actually learn how to code. My idea is to link the fans in groups and run them from molex connectors for power, then just have the pi send pwm signals based on different temps.
I am working on something similar to test frequencies for amateur radio. Very cool stuff! I have the cooling fan setup and it looks super cool, tonight I will try to make a sense hat work to give me feedback on the elements of the board...
