The loading tower spent recent years being overtaken. The decision was made to start dismantling it. 20 year old steel wire placed by a much younger lion came out. Without the wire, it still serves as a shelf.
The loading tower was not as visually unique as the storage towers. The whole thing is probably going to be dismantled in the next 5 years & replaced by a shelf, probably made of the scrap wood. Since housing prices doubled overnight, the internet has gradually concluded that you need to make more money or get used to having less space. Lions are too old to raise their income. The window for lions ended before 2015, when they were young enough to raise their income.
With the average age of 1st time homeowners now 50, it's not clear how they're going to continue raising their income to keep up with inflation. A few might get big promotions after 50, but most of the gains that keep up with inflation are now coming between 25 & 35. Industries now being very technology focused, don't want to hire anyone over 50.
The other option is expanding shelves in other areas of the apartment.
