Arduino is a great project! But it is so focused on beginners and non-programmers that it lacks some features more advanced programmers are used to have on modern environments

the mariamole autocompletion is not so good (it just completes the words you typed before)
before that I suggest you sublime Stino plugin

you can also develop arduino projects in visual studio with full autocompletion

and eclipse has a plugin for arduino too

Hello! We just started porting it. There's a project on github, but it doesn't have anything working yet. We'll need some more weeks to have a functional version
