I spent a good 2/3 hours last night redoing the pin connections for the shield since I was stupid when it came to the pull down resistors. I basically shorted the whole board in the process, it’s a good thing I realized this while doing the layout. Additionally I also realized that I need to optimize on the pin connections I was using on the board because it was otherwise a complete mess and o believe that took the longest.

I finally did manage to finish the layout though.

I also went to the university’s fab shop to check out what I can actually cut with their laser cutter. They say that I’ll only be able to cut balsa or bass. I’m unsure what thickness will work for basswood so I’m gonna go to the hardware store to check it out. I was also too late in checking out the carpentry shop which I will check on Monday now if they have CNC router that will do the job for me instead of using the laser cutter. I feel like laser cutter will make tolerances a lot more harder to do.
