Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to make records of your own composition with your standard makerspace tools? I thought so!

I have recently been diving deeper into music creation, and when mixed with my enjoyment of creating tech-art installations I schemed up a few projects that could use a variety of short-run records with less than perfect reproduction quality. Let's see if we can make it happen in-house (uh, makerspace at least).
Will the heat become problem by melting the fidelity out of the track? Or is this a matter of dialing in the speed and intensity so you get just enough to make the cut and not heat things up too much?
