This summer I've been toying with the notion of revisiting my old project from two years back. I had some ideas on how the original concept could be expanded upon, and I'd gotten some well needed C coding practice from working on my bachelor thesis.
When I learned about the Hackaday musical instrument challenge I decided to enter as a way to stop planning/procrastinating and start getting some real work done. Becoming a contestant would also give me a reasonable deadline, so I wouldn't risk featurecreeping the project into 2019. As an added bonus it will force me to document the project properly, something I (like most people) usually put off to later and seldom end up actually doing.
