Watson is a relatively simple RF power meter based on the "120 dB Measurement System" outlined in the Analog Devices (AD) AD8307 data sheet. Watson uses a AD603 X-AMP for automatic gain control to extend the AD8307 dynamic range from 80dB to 120dB! Watson has a narrow and fixed measurement band centered on 10.7 MHz and was developed as the detector for a low cost spectrum analyzer design. The layout was done using KiCAD on an Arch Linux dedicated laptop.
I'm curious about measuring RF radiation and its effects on mental clarity/sleep/health etc. I'm not so knowledgable about RF, was the choice to display logarithmic conformance an application specific choice or is that how you measure RF?
