You can tell by looking at the valet key where the chip is located. I put one my Model 3 valet card(that had already been synced with my car from the dealership), and dropped it in a glass container with acetone. It took about 1.5 hours to completely dissolve the plastic.  I also dropped my phone in the acetone jar...damn it Hahahaha
