For better fun we used a magnet to fix the tube，His effect is much better than he imagined.My classmates really like the feeling of it sucking.

What font did you use for the numbers, it's a nice clean look? And how far into the acrylic did you need to etch to get a nice visible glow?
Right ! I won't quibble if you're cool or not. That's a fact : if you use the same principle, that's a copy. I think you could have at least talked about Lixie admitting this way, you're not the inventor. I know you didn't write anything saying you were the creator, but you didn't write the contrary, no ?

Lixie is not a novel technology. Shining light through etched acrylic or glass has been around for over 100 years. The first U.S. Patent for "Electric edge lit sign" was granted in 1915. In the 1950s hexadecimal digit displays using edge-lit acrylic where in use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightguide_display

Both of these precede Lixie, and there are more examples. All I am trying to say is let the guy do his own thing. I personally like edge lit acrylic display panels that look more like actual Nixie tubes. If there had some chrome dome tops it would look even better. :)
He doesn't need to credit Lixie for anything in my view.
This is an inspiring project, I would never have known about nixie tubes if I hadn't seen it. As pointed out in another comment, edge lit displays and even edge lit nixie tubes have been done before. While there are cases where copying is not cool, this is not one of those. There's no patent. On an ultimate level intellectual property rights aren't part of a progressive open source society, they constrain development and foster privatization.
I'm afraid you've shamefully copied an existing concept. Moreover you're trying to get profit from the idea of someone else. Not that cool, no ?

What do you mean that as long as one person makes one thing, is the other person using the same principle to copy it? Lixie is a very good idea, very, very good, but I don't like its shape very much, its size is too big, my dormitory can't fit, so I just made Gixie Clock? Should I be ashamed?
The cost of doing a Gixie Clock alone is much higher than the nixie clock, so I am looking for fans to reduce costs. Sorry, I am not so cool!
