This project describes the design and construction of a working planetary 3D printed gearbox from first principles. Gears are precision machines and their own right. While cogs with arbitrary
tooth profiles will probably work there may be good reasons for using an involute tooth profile.
Liked your write up, very good description of the geometry of involute teeth. One suggestion - pull some of the salient points from the blog post up into Hackaday.IO. I know it seems like duplication of effort, but it helps the community more than a link to another site would.
