Build video that describes the technical details of how I brought this illusion to life: https://youtu.be/elV34YB5k8k
This optical illusion was created by the amazing Kokichi Sugihara, a Japanese mathematician. He has also created other well known illusions such as the “Ambiguous Garage Roof” and the popular “Ambiguous Cylinder Illusion”. Please see video description for more about him and for links to his work.
This build does require some additional items beyond 3D printed parts to function (servos, servo motor controller, etc.).
This is super neat! It's incredible how the human brain processes visual inputs. As Sophi mentioned, would love to know more about how it is implemented!
Thanks! I'll be doing a follow-up video on how the setup works, in a few weeks. I posted some behind the scenes images on my Twitter account, where you can get an idea of how it works, if you want to see that info now.
I also forgot to mention, that I have posted some teasers and other info about this project on my Twitter account, that would give you an idea of how it works.
If this video did well I was considering other projects with more of Kokichi Sugihara's illusions.
