The ATTiny841 is a great little microcontroller, which sports two UARTS, up to 12 GPIO pins, 8kb of flash memory, all in a 14 pin package. Using a bootloader such as Micronucleus, it is possible to add USB support. This project will contain some of my explorations into the capabilities of this tiny device.

I have recently been exploring the capabilities of the ATTiny841 and the Micronucleus bootloader. Micronucleus includes V-USB support, which should make this combo ideal for low cost HID devices.

  • 1 × ATTiny841 Microcontroller
  • 1 × 100 nF Capacitor Capacitor
  • 2 × 68Ω Resistor Resistor
  • 1 × 1k5Ω Resistor Resistor
  • 2 × 3V6 Zener Diode Zener diode

    This project is not quite dead. I haven't had the time to get back to it for way too long, but in the next few weeks I will be tinkering with it again. I have been flat-out with university, work and general life stuff, but I do want to have another look at this before I pack everything up and head off overseas. I have a new batch of PCBs on order, so as soon as they turn up I will be getting back to this. ;^)
