We can find 7-segment VFD by very low price. At least lower price than 300B. But the structure is "direct heated triode"
The strange (from view point of audio application) point is, multiple anode working for segment driving. For the audio, we can connect all of anode and just use "Anode".
And I inserted in class-D power amplifier,,, the moment of truth,,,
Indeed, sound is super awesome! Wonderful!!!!

Speaking of microphonics/microphony I remember that sensitive tubes, like the ones in the early stages of amplifiers, sometimes had a cylindrical metal shield which was put on from the top and a bayonet groove in the tube socket secured. This served two purposes: it screened out any magnetic fields and the spring in the shield kept vibrations of the glass down. Some tubes also had internal shield electrodes which were connected to ground.

😄👏 Pity about the microphony. I used to joke with technical people that microphony is a very small phony. 😉

Both the terms microphonics and microphony are in use, but microphony was the one I learnt in the age of tubes (valves). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microphonics
