During the summer break I have completely re-written CP/M for VTech Genius Leader computers!
The procedure is now simpler (better documentation, better Python based build system, better emulation options) and compatibility is much improved (ZORK1-3 and BBCBASIC work perfectly)
So check it out at my VGLDK Github at https://github.com/hotkeymuc/vgldk/tree/master/examples/cpm
A great next step now would be to create a combined ROM+RAM cartridge for a low entry barrier for any enthusiastic VTech fan. Or... maybe even a Tindie campaign for a complete self-contained "VTech CP/M Cartridge"...? What do you think?

I own various Vtech computers and also own a 32K Memory Expansion Cartridge and PC Link. Both allow you to save and load Basic Programs/Word Processing files. Sadly the 32K Cartridge doesn't allow you to add physical memory to the computer, just to save files sadly. I am therefore restricted to the actual RAM of the individual VTech Computer, which seems to vary slightly, but does not seem to exceed 4K. I would definitely 110% buy a rom/ram cartridge in order to program bigger Basic Programs. I would love to get my text adventure game working. Fingers crossed this gets released one day!

I'd definitely want a rom+ram cartridge! Honestly, I think I would even build one myself if there was a pcb design and BOM for it.
