Details

This project is an attempt to create a framework to create any conceivable stringed instrument. The project started as a means to generate custom versions of specific designs, but the system was robust enough to warrant expansion. This project uses a system called vectored fabrication to drive the manufacturing process.

ÜLGA, the Üniversal Lute Generating Algorithm, was derived from Marabunta - a parametricly derived stringed instrument generator. Marabunta could create any neck and scale the body to fit - ÜLGA seemed a natural progression in allowing any body form to fit the derived instrument.
