A Phone holder is a model each one of us needs to help hold their phones. Unfortunately, sometimes getting a phone holder of your choice might be a challenge, and that’s why in this video we want to show you how you can prepare a ready to print elephant phone holder in SelfCAD.

In fact, in the video tutorial attached shows you the exact process and the tools I used in designing the elephant phone holder you have seen at the beginning of this video. Hence this will also help you master the various tools of SelfCAD to help you design ready to print models.

Preview

  • 1 × 3D Printer You need a 3D printer to be able to 3D print the model
  • 1 × SelfCAD You need SelfCAD to use to design the model.
  • 1 × 3D Printing material This is useful for 3D printing the model.

    Step 1

    Let’s start modeling our elephant: First visit the SelfCAD website and register for an account https://www.selfcad.com.

    • Open Free Hand Drawing tool
    • Switch your projection to Orthographic and set view from Top

    Step 2
    • Select Spline brush 
    • Start modeling silhouette of an elephant
    • When you finish the silhouette switch brush mode from Draw to Erase and draw an eye

    Step 3
    • Now let’s use Rotate tool on X axis with value -90 to rotate our elephant
