When assembling smaller quantities of PCBs you typically do not order entire SMD reels. Mostly you get plastic bags with maybe a few hundreds of 0603 resistors, capacitors and other components.
But how do you organize them? Searching for the right component often is just a pain. And if you forget to put them back into the bag after you placed em on your board you'll end up having multiple strips of unlabelled components.

To fix this I used Fusion 360 to create some sort of magazin to hold these component strips.

These magazines are equipped with a clamping mechanism so you can attach them to a rail.
That makes them stable on your desk and enables you to pick and place components pretty quickly.

I made a full video describing the features and benefits of this project.
It also includes how you can 3D print those for your own shop.
Happy hacking!
