Based on the Adafruit version of Drawdio, I started this project as a fun and easy way to learn how to make circuits and get some bucks along the way.
Drawdio, defined as a pencil that lets you draw with music, its a very simple musical synthesizer that uses the conductive properties of pencil graphite to create different sounds.
This version fits in a 2x5 cm PCB layout and uses a 3V lithium battery and a little speaker all packed together and decorated with a cool little sticker.
Splendid so far.
So far I am figuring out which low voltage 555 version I'll be using. As anyone trying to replicate this project might know, its fundamental to find a low voltage substitute of the classic 555 IC, since this chip in the standard version needs at least 5V to power on. So, I'ts important to choose between the different options based mainly on availability, cost and operation voltage.
In the next days, I'll publish which one was my choice.
+1 just for the cover image
