3D-printable Davinci catapult gift card

the perfect gift to your family and friends and all you need is a 3D-printer (and some wire ;-)

Because a lot of people liked my previous gift card (Fully 3D-printable wind-up car gift card: https://bbprojects.technology/collections/stl-fusion-360-source-files/products/fully-3d-printable-wind-up-car-gift-card-files) and asked if I could create another version of it, I decided to make this Leonardo Davinci inspired catapult gift card. The whole card can be 3D-printed in one go, you don't need any extra parts except for some wire. The card can be printed without support and the print time is about 3 hours with a 0.2mm layer height. The card can be printed using regular PLA. The whole thing is designed to be able to snap fit together so there's no glue necessary. I did a lot of test prints of different parts of the model until I got some consistent and good results. It is of course possible that depending on which printer you use the result may vary.

How do you even print this in 3 hours? My print took 4.5 hours and I cranked up the speed on my printer so much that all corners are blobbed beyond recognition

Hello Vsevolod, I checked again for you and yes the print time with my settings and printer is 3 hours 4 minutes and 31 seconds, but the printer always finishes in under 3 hours. My settings are: 

Speeds: 

-Print speed: 40mm/s
-Outer perimeter: 30mm/s
-Infill speed: 50mm/s

Layerheight: 0.2mm

infill: 25 percent

Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm

No supports, no rafts, no brims.

Do your settings match my settings above?

My Cura settings:

-Wall speed: 60 mm/s

-Infill speed: 120 mm/s

-First layer speed: 20 mm/s

-Slower layers: 2

Infill: 20% gyroid

Layer height: 0.2 mm

Nozzle diameter: 0.4 mm

4 perimeters, 8 skin layers, no supports, brims or rafts

My printer is Ender 3 Pro, upgraded with SKR 1.3 running Marlin 2.0, dual Z axis with belt linkage and piezo Z probe. Since then I have also upgraded print surface to PP sheet and changed firmware to Klipper

How many Jerks and Accelerations?

And why so many perimeters\skin layers?

PS: stop watching Sorkin

PPS: SKR 1.3 and marlin 2 do not give a guarantee in the growth of endor3 performance

PPPS: Slic3r, 40–60 mm/s — 2.5 hours printing time
