update preview
04/07/2020 at 20:33 • 0 commentsI've made a breakthrough on how to drive the servo motor and are preparing for a test drive.
And there is an update on some CAD model modifications.

AC Servo buying for test
03/20/2020 at 00:57 • 0 comments2020.3.20 // AC Servo buying for test update.
As I was modeling, I was trying to figure out which motor would fit my robot, and I decided that AC servo motors were suitable, and I found a servo motor store in 'Aliexpress', a Chinese shopping mall that was generally good to find.
The motors that will be used in joints 1, 2 and 3 in earnest are much higher power than the ones I've purchased now, but I still don't know how this servo motor driver works, so I bought the cheapest motor to practice.
The company's AC servo motor driver products are A4 and B2. They say A4 is an upgraded version than B2. When I asked the person in charge by e-mail, they said the five biggest differences are like thisA4 is a new driver, it with more function then B2, bellow is the function which added on A4 based on B2 driver
1. Support pulse + direction, CW / CCW, AB pulse three pulse modes;
2.Support pulse feedback frequency division function;
3. Support ± 10V analog voltage;
4. Support origin search function;
5. Add 24V pulse input common terminal and 24V collector output Z signal;
6, support MODBUS bus control;So..the options that seem useful to me are number 4 and 6. First of all, A4 driver is an upgrade version of B2 driver, so I think B2 driver will support basic functions. So I bought it with the A4 servo motor driver.
That's what's troubling me right now. No A4 driver can control more than 2.6 kw of power! So I have to choose between A4 and B2 driver. If this motor that I purchased as a test can do as much as I want with the A4 feature, I will buy a B2 driver.
But I'm worried because A4 driver supports a serial communication called MODBUS. If I don't use serial communications, I'll have to build another hardware to connect the uC to the servo motor control wire.
