Back when I was first getting into electronics, I needed a fan to blow all those noxious solder fumes away. Of course buying a fume extractor would be an absurd solution, so instead I decided to eat some pickles and turn the jar into a fan.

The build quality is a bit shoddy (now that it's about 5 years old it sometimes just cuts out and I haven't gotten around to diagnosing why), but it looks pretty cool.

No gonna lie - when I first saw this, I thought you were powering the fan with a pickle. You know - dissimilar metals stuck into an acidic matrix to act as an electrolyte...
