Although Grant's project doesn't have a MC6800 implementation he does include John Kent's VHDL cpu68 code for the 6800. This is very similar to the MC6809 so that's where I started. The core adds a Valid Memory Address (VMA) signal to the pin list. VMA gets factored into read and write strobes.
