This is an autonomous water drone project, that will be entered into the annual microtransat competition (if I can get it done in time). The competition is basically a race to see who can build and launch a water drone that can successful cross the Atlantic ocean without any intervention from anyone the fastest. Typically, craft are launched in July from either the east coast of the US or the West coast of the UK. Check out the site here: https://www.microtransat.org/

The Dugong is a just-for-fun project I am working on. I am a handy hobbyist that has worked on cars and home projects, and have zero engineering training. I have been relying on friends and tons of online research to get this done. There is no doubt that the end product is going to be rough as I have measured anything more precisely than with a standard tape measurer and yes, there is some random scrap would from my garage involved.
