It is an ESP-8266 DIN rail power monitor with external current transformers. The transformers allow to monitor, in a non-invasive way, the power absorbed by the line and the energy introduced by generators such as wind or photovoltaic. The main use is to maximize autonomous energy consumption using IoT home automation software.
In my realization I use Domoticz as a home automation center for IoT and ESPEasy for the detector. Equipped with a display for local reporting, it has two 0/1V analog inputs to connect current transformers. The inputs are passed through two weighted peak detection circuits, and then sent to two 16bit ADCs.
