GPIO pins on the RPi aren't really nice to connect-disconnect many times. HDMI-A socket has 19 pins, and created for multiple re-connections. HDMI cables are cheap and wide accessible. They can be any length from 20cm till more than 5m. standard HDMI cable certified for 40V/0.5A signals, has at least 3 shielded coupled pairs inside. I want to make a converter from RPi GPIO brush to a HDMI-A socket (of course just socket, not signals) and take out of the RPi case all those GPIO signals to my external devices
