I got bored at work and decided to make myself an overbuilt magnetic phone holder out of a nice piece of scrap steel. It's a steel strip with 4 bends in it, 3 mounting surfaces, and 9 magnets per mounting surface. It's complete overkill for most use cases, but far better built and practical than anything I've seen for sale. I used industrial machines to make it, but it could be made by hand. I'll be adding features as I go, since I've grown to love the design so much. Indestructible and practical was the goal, and both were met with the first prototype. This should be excellent for industrial trucks, tractors, cars, workbenches, and any other surface that requires a display mounted.
