The jackdaws are still learning, and I have noticed that sometimes they take bottlecaps and butts from the platform and leave them in the planters on the balcony railing. I had a similar experience with the pigeons last year when they were learning to use the machine. They grew out of it, but it's funny that the jackdaws are repeating this behavior.
