Controls & Feedback

A project log for All-In-One Gamma-Ray Spectrometer

More sensitive to gamma radiation than a Geiger counter with the added bonus of telling exactly what's inside your samples!

Hi there, this is mostly just a quick update on the potentiometer controls on the board. Here is an image for the 3 different sections: the preamp, SiPM voltage and pulse threshold. They can be turned each approximately 30 times, which means that every complete turn gives you:

How to control the potentiometers

Other than that, I'd be really interested in feedback from YOU!

What is your background? Are you in academia, are you an electronics tinkerer, is this your first radiation detection project or do you work in this sector? Also, did you already build one for yourself, how does it work for you? Or did you buy a complete board? And most importantly, what do you like/dislike and what would you like to see improved in a later revision?

Please feel free to write down all your thoughts down below in the comments!

Cheers!
