The chinese pinball buttons have proven disastrous.  They might be cost optimized to just work with high voltages like manes voltage pinball machines.  The contact impedance is so bad, they need incredible force to work on 3.3V.  The CR2032 battery had a very short life.  As the battery voltage dropped, the button took more & more force until the lion kingdom injured its paw.  It needed a bigger enclosure for more battery power.  Failures of the bathroom light are all emergencies.  Thus began an emergency enclosure for a better button & bigger battery.

Not a perfect enclosure.

The button mount required a lot of tweeking to get it aligned.  The trick with clamshells like this is to make the upper standoffs slightly too long.  The lower standoffs are limited by the need for clearance above the button.  The upper standoffs need to press down on the button board, creating a slight bulge.

Powering this circuit from 2 * AA's has been a failure.  The trick is the radio browns out at 2.6.  NiMH provides 2.4.  Alkaline gets barely above 2.8.  Only carbon zinc briefly gets to 3.2.   It really needs a regulator & lithium.  The enclosure actually has enough space to put in a regulator board & lithium battery.
