As a car-less shift worker in the arctic, I carried my belongings in a trolley bag / suitcase when commuting between work and home (7 hours by bus and ferry).
During the winter season, sidewalks were routinely full of snow, leaving me heaving for air and cursing my circumstance.
In 2018/2019 I began, ran, and eventually put this project on ice, as member of an arctic entrepreneurship incubator. I didn't want to make another niche gadget that would further deplete natural resources with little tangible benefit to society.
The benefit being that this gadget lets travellers comfortably walk their heavy trolleybags for 2-300m rather than zero, in snow.
However, it would be a shame for the effort and money ($3000) I put in to be wasted. Therefore I'm publishing the prototype sketches, models as well as relevant business documents here.
Maybe we can co-design a solution, allowing for sustainable production, distribution and recycling.

I got involved in Makerspace Bodø, and started bringing this project with me as a display article on our external events. Through that I met another maker, whose enthusiasm convinced me to un-shelve this project and work on it together with him.
So... let the ski hit the snow-covered pavement!
