Various chemistries are acceptable: NCA, NMC, LCO, LMO, LTO and LFP

The device has three phases for charging a Li-Ion battery: precharge to recover a fully discharged battery, fast-charge constant current to supply the bulk of the charge, and voltage regulation to reach full capacity

Automatic Sleep Mode for low power consumption: 350-nA battery leakage current and 85-µA input leakage current when charge is disabled

It has an NTC thermistor to monitor battery temperature and controls the current accordingly or disables charging.

It has two LEDs to indicate the charging status or faults
