SaabmanI hooked up the Pi to the Van last night to look at the can data when the screen turns on but noted that maybe I dont need to send anything special to it from the head unit. Needs more investigation
Maybe dont need the CAN bus

The Chrysler Grand voyager has a rather integrated head unit that is not so simple to replace.
