That is better than NuttX?

It is different than NuttX.  "Better" depends on the application.  Stratify OS is different because it focuses on running more features on less hardware. For example, NuttX (along with most RTOSs) runs on a large variety of chips which typically leaves the developer with the task of integrating (porting) the RTOS to the hardware and adding their own device drivers.  Stratify OS runs on some NXP LPC chips but is deeply integrated with the hardware so applications typically don't require any device driver development (such as Timer, UART, SPI, USB, I2C, etc).

Stratify OS also separates the kernel and application builds systems (like Linux). So you can develop, install and run applications without ever building the kernel.

Porting to the STM32 is do-able but it's a huge effort. The SRAM requirements for the OS is between 8K and 32K depending on what features you want handled by the OS.  The OS is designed for ease-of-use rather than minimal resources. Great for complex projects but is overkill for simple ones.

Cool, thanks for getting back to me. I like what I'm hearing. I don't have an mBed though. Reason why I was asking about STM32 is because I'm unsure of NXP's future given the Qualcom acquisition. 

I had the same concerns about NXP. I had lunch with an NXP/freescale sales rep and he mentioned that the LPC line is a big money maker for NXP. He didn't know anything about Qualcomm's plans because it won't be finalized for awhile. So I think the LPC will be around for awhile.  I suppose when they announce the end of life of the LPC line, I will start porting to STM32.

sounds like a plan, I actually really like the LPCs myself so heres to hoping they stay and have NDA free datasheet access. 

STM32 compatibility? What are the SRAM requirements? We were looking at Zephyr for the SunLeaf project but ultimately implemented a baremetal firmware application to get the device going. If this RTOS is better on memory consumption my partner might be interested in evaluating it for future versions. Got a meshnet version in the works as well as a respin of the current wifi version.
