Warning: No technical updates in here. This is just me babbling.
I know I know. It's literally years at this point.
I've been doing a lot of work with esp32/8266 boards, pis and the like and yesterday's hackaday.io email (containing a link to this guy: https://hackaday.io/project/206094-gsicyberdeckv1lite ) lit a fire under my arse.
I don't have anything new to show. But I'm hell bent for leather on getting something I can use put together.
My initial plan was very focused on form factor and usability. I think now that, given my temperament, I was attacking this wrong which is why I never got off the ground (aside from buying a bunch of crap and hoping it would magically assemble itself.)
I'm attacking this from the other side now: Get the feature list together, then work on the layout.
I've been doing some interesting (to me) stuff with esp32s and passive (station mode) monitoring to on board sd cards which is going to be joined by a couple other "sniff the air" little tech packages.
Stay tuned. I think I'll have some solid progress to post soonish. (Or...another 2 year gap in updates. Little column a, little column b.)
