If you got yourself a white RGB string, you can connect that straight to the PSU as well depending on what voltage it needs. If you used Neopixels or something similar, connect them to the 5V rail and use a microcontroller to set the color and brightness.

Put something on top of the bell jar that can absorb a good amount of the alcohol. I like using some thin felt and holding that up there by using magnets, but some sponge will probably also work great.
