Ever wondered what happens when you "spin" a CRT to try and create a 360' image?
Well it works.. kind of.
In real life the 360' view works great, the camera pics or video chops up the result whenever I try and video or take photos.
What I did, used the 1" CRT and its driver PCB for the HV, from an old CAM-CODER, used the VERTICAL coil only, fed audio to the VERTICAL coil bypassing the original Cam-coder logic. Disconnected (not used) the Horizontal coil at all.
Used a baby monitor to transmit the audio to the CRT.
Version 1.0, I had used 4 x AAA batteries for powering the rig.
Version 2.0 , I used an air core transformer ( wireless power).
added a small DC motor with speed control for rotation of the rig.
Mounted the CRT/ logic / Audio receiver to a green dinner plate.
What you end up with is an Audio wave form all around the circumference of the dinner plate.
