This project will show you how to create a simple RGB LED light strip game playable on the internet and using live streaming for video feedback. Of course you can also play it locally.
It's a simple project you can setup in a day once you have all the bits. You will need a Linux PC, (I used an Up Board SBC), Teensy, a bunch of WS2812 based RGB LED strips and a 5v power supply capable of delivering at least 1A.
For the live streaming part I used OBS on Linux and a couple of cheap cameras.
For local "play" I used an iOS app called "SSH Control" to send commands to the Linux PC.
It was very robust and secure. A DDoS would of course kill the website and Linux PC, but it could handle a very large traffic volume.
